Amphetamines, Aliens, and Artificial Insanity: Part Two
Chapter 0
INTRODUCTION
With all of this in mind, the first thing that needs to be acknowledged and addressed is the current state of social media, my relationship with it, and what I plan to do with/about it; as well as evaluating the tools that are at my disposal and the obstacles that are in my way.
Before we get into the current state of social media and all of the individual aspects of it, let me begin with a detailing a specific topic that has recently become more relevant within the last few weeks and also perfectly incapsulates my personal relationship with, and reputation on, social media — as well as proves a point that I think is crucial to moving forward.
In order to do that, we need to go back to a little over two years ago...
IMPORTANT NOTE: As I write this in real time, I’m internally going back and forth between just highlighting this one specific issue first and letting that stand alone for a while, or fully committing to the in-depth and complete full-scale investigation and analysis of my own personal social media archive. The ladder, while being extremely time-consuming and elaborate, is also something that’s equally as important and insightful and will without a doubt be done at some point throughout this project. I want to make that clear only because I think that for now, at this point and time, I’m going to just simply focus on this one specific issue and let it speak for itself.

Obviously finding the humor, irony, and ridiculousness of this at the time, as I still do now (if not more so), I screenshotted this and posted it on Facebook at 6:50am after yet another Adderall fueled all-nighter (or let’s be honest, probably a few) with no explanation or context; which by this point, had kind of become a trademark of mine:

One of my closest friends and one of the one’s I’ve known the longest replies —

Now, if I’m going to stick to this specific issue of Aliens alone for now, then I at the very least to need to clarify that this was not the stand-alone issue that it’s going to appear to be in this article, and that there was a lot going on which contributes to the overall story of this; ‘SCREAM’ being one of those issues, and one that just simply won’t be elaborated on or given the proper attention that it deserves and as it relates to the overall story itself until we get to the point of telling that story in its entirety.
The easiest way to summarize it all for right now for both the sake of context and staying on topic would probably this rough concept video that I made around the same time as this, and as I began to work on the project that this will in a sense evolve into, '#SENILE.'
