You can't hire the run-throughs that don't take the job seriously and everyone knows is just there to work the Wednesday morning shifts nobody else wants to, or the teenagers whose parents won't let them out of the house. People don't want to return to work because of the uncertainty surrounding the situation right now and the lack of guidance and leadership that we have as a country. Most of us make just about the same if not more and I personally would rather make the money myself. And I didn't even mention the fact that our industry has completely changed. The experience of being a server and bartender is far different now than what it ever has been.
