I was going to save my own breath and not comment on the fact that especially Donald Trump but others in general have not given the CDC any type of credit and in fact discredited them throughout the entire situation until they provided them with a sliver of information that they thought was relevant. The official death rate of the coronavirus is 0.26% which would be 910,000 people in America and we are just about to enter into flu season. "underlying issues" refers to mundane things such as smoking and obesity, the latter being over half of Americans. 185,000 people have still died. Our government has still failed us. Still a global pandemic.
